Today's is one of Omo's articles where I can discern what he's talking about: DRM on rental media. Indeed, the validity of some anti-DRM arguments is reduced in the rental space as opposed to DTO. However, the key problem remains: at its core, DRM exists to codify arbitrary restrictions beyond those imposed by the law, and although most of the current law exists to serve the content owners, some of it makes nods to consumers, and this is where DRM goes against my interests. To put it in simple terms, can I make screencaps for my blog when watching Xam'd? May I?
