As commenters have already pointed out, some might want boxsets, for example as gifts. Also, as SDB mentioned, there is a chance that Vandread may come out anamorphic (I know that there's a rampant speculation regarding the available masters. Funi is silent on the issue. Typical.).

And while I’m fairly happy with the licenses, there’s still a bunch of unlicensed series that need good homes. People were hoping for Kannagi, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Toradora, Shakugan no Shana II and countless others.

Toradora is too fresh for DVD, I'd say.

UPDATE: DiGiKerot comments further, at length. BTW, I seriously gave a thought to Ikkitousen after seeing it in the top rotation at Chizumatic. I have done the same to Cosplay Complex and Magikano. The former was such a terrible disaster that I quit it within sight of the end, midway through ep.3. But the latter had Yuri Kurosu... So, might as well take the chance. Even buy a DVD or two. Oh wait, the boxset. Well, Netflix then.
