Negima fails

Prompted by an enthusiastic blogging friend, I rented Negima. Big mistake. Of course, I made sure to get the correct series, as the screencap attests.

I don't even want to go into explanations of why and how Negima failed; it's a combination of factors that made it unpleasant, some possibly superficial. For example, I hate vampires, and the unfocused drawing was just as annoying as the top rotation at Chizumatic suggested. I can hear pooh-pooing aleady, but all these faults add up. If a serious reason to fail a show is required, I suppose, the main problem was the gloomy opener story. The conveniently disposable partners sealed the deal somewhere in ep.2.

UPDATE: Oh, snap. If I marked that disc before sending it out, it would be a part of the tracking experiment when (or if) I reorder it.
