Anime : Moe :: Physics : Ether
August 5th, 2007 by AuthorSome people continue to grapple with the concept of moe. The thing which amuses me here is the genesys of the very concept, because of its singular uselessness. I wrote about anime for years and never needed to use the word “moe”. You might have better luck finding “loli” than “moe” on this blog or other my blogs (and I cannot guarantee that “loli” was used even once, all I’m saying I can imagine its use). In a way, “moe” reminds me about such fine products of liberal scholarship as “subalternal” and “governmentality”: purely made-up concepts, meta of meta, pouring of empty into unfilled.
