Saw an item in the Moero feed today: “我が家のお稲荷さま”, and thought: “Hmm… Ga-ga-ie-… or Gaga-uchi-no-… o-naninani-sama? Never heard of it.” So I clicked on it thinking it’s one of those never blogged series that she unearthes sometimes. It turned out to be “Wagaya no Onari-sama” (blogged by Totali, for example).

I had a semi-decent written English years before I started speaking to anyone, so I assumed that Japanese would be the same way. Now I begin to face a situation where I can say something but not write it more and more often. It was unthinkable with English. Frustrating.
