The announcement that Toei joins GONZO in a distribution deal with Crunchyroll does not seem like a big deal to me, considering just what they want to distribute. It's as if they selected the worst titles in their collection on purpose. But in reality... they probably did! I see an attempt to use some poorly selling trash to test the waters of this new and unproven digital delivery thing.
BTW, Precure and Pretear are different things. I heard good things about Precure and plan to see it (despite poor ANN histogram).
UPDATE: Gia says, in effect, that I'm full of shit, since the announcement involves "some of the company’s biggest anime titles". I think it would've been true if the mainline Digimon was involved and not just a spin-off movie. As for Slam Dunk, it may be an excellent anime, but clearly is not in the same league as the Digimon.
