When I asked Steven about Negima, I expected an executive summary like the one with which vintage Jason Miao sold me on Muteki Kanban Musume. But his answer is far longer. It works though, I think I see what is good about the series. Notably though, we don't know if the ending is any good at this point.

Being an ignorant fool, I did not realize that the second series was actually a remake, not a sequel. As such it continues the tradition of good remakes such as KyoAni's 2006 Kanon and Hanaukyo Maid Team La Verite.
