For myself, I never felt disconnected from female fans. Someone in my family was following Munto last season. And then there’s the club. But even in blogs I have Sasa, Jen, Hinano — just off the top of my head. There’s a ton more traditional animebloggers, and even persistent attempts for semi-pro writing by women.
Jessi’s reviews actually takes some getting used to. I find it difficult to read anyone who uses the expression “moeblob tripe“. Better not let her see K-ON.
UPDATE: Steven replies.
