JP on 2010

The article made me ROFL, and also made some good points. Sure we can disagree about some things, but I have no quarrel with:

So all in all, I think that 2010 was a weaker year than usual (due primarily to the huge number of sequels to shows I didn’t care about the first time, and not because of lolipedo moeshit), but it partially made up for things by being a REALLY good year for comedies. There were probably a half-dozen comedies that I watched this year that I genuinely laughed at. Most years struggle to get a single one.

The IT’S OK IF I’M THE DEVIL Memorial Award for AWESOMENESS, best action anime, and best OVA: Cat Shit One
OMG OMG OMG THE FUCKING BUNNIES ARE KILLING THE FUCKING SHIT OUT OF FUCKING EVERYONE OMG OMG OMG OMG

and

Most unnecessary spinoff: Ookami-san
There’s the original book series, the Swedish movie series, and an upcoming Hollywood adaptation. Did we really also need an anime version?

(The last was too obscure for me, I must admit, even though I wrote a fanfic once that stole from “Terroristena” (The Terrorists) by Per Wahlöö and Maj Sjöwall. I am almost ready for the big leagues of anime scriptwriting at J.C.Staff.)

And of course there was more, way more where this come from.
