Sketchbook ends

The last failed restart of Sketchbook was almost 4 years ago, but suddenly I finished it, thanks to the air travel. Its nature lends itself well to drone out the liberal propaganda being spewed by airport TVs. It is otherwise unbearable, even for an iyashikei, but luckily I had a copy.

Interestingly, the most normal of the bunch turned out to be Aso, despite her sock puppets and ventriloquism.

On a positive note, Kate was not as overdone and insufferable as, say, Anna Coppola of Ichigo Mashimaro. Her worst side was merely the hideous accent that Japanese associate with English speakers, but that's something we just need to deal with (another example would be the character of Milch in Nodame LA, but not in anime). Her character teaches us all to appreciate Patty of Lucky Star more and realize how it could be much worse.

Liked: Generally not, but it had good parts
Rewatch: No
