Calaggie on brands in anime

Actually, he rebranded himself as "Tom Langston", but I still think of him as Calaggie. One way or another, he posted an observation that "real" brands started to appear in anime instead of traditional mis-spellings, such as "Pony" instead of "Sony" on TVs or cameras. I noticed it too: we have a lot of those now, and I remember the times when it was absolutely unthinkable of a real brand name or logotype to appear in anime. I am pretty certain that the floodgates were opened by Code Geass and C.C.'s famous pizza. The story of Pizza Hut assault on in-anime marketing was somewhat of big news back in 2006, so I am surprised that it bypassed Calaggie entirely.
