Bloggers on Tari-tari

In case you didn't know, "tari-tari" is the name of a syntax in Japanese language, which stands for "we did this and that". To my mind it clearly messages the slice-of-life nature of the series, but nobody seems to pick on that. Well, I'm sure people like Moogy and WAH did, but maybe it was beneath their station to explain.

So far, bloggage was uninformative. Smitty wrote "Animation in this opening episode is very good, near flawless even." Okay. Hanners slammed cliches, then excused them. Kuro stated the obvious how PA Works is trying to mix 3-girls-2-guys formula with K-ON. This is not very helpful, but then again, it's just the opening episode. Will wait.

QUICKIE, to balance Smitty, our favourite hater says:

As is standard for PA Works shows, it looks pretty good. Not as good as usual though. The CG people didn’t help matters and we’ve already had perhaps the best CG cars of the season with Campione, but even the character art had a disturbing tendency to go a little off-model at times which all too frequently turned people into disturbing fish creatures.

UPDATE: Zero-day license by Sentai. Well, Ledford promised zero-day licensing back in the days of Gun x Sword, so no wonder, right?

UPDATE: Chikorita makes the linguistic connection too. Also, "Yes, it is Hanasaku Iroha. and it looks gorgeous." Damn, Skippy, which one is it?

UPDATE: Hikago is laconic: "It’s pretty good. // Reminder of what happens when a lot of things go right, from production to sound to acting."
