Thanks to a tip by DiGiKerot, we now know that a new series of Tamagotchi is going to air in the Autumn 2012 season, Yume Kira Dream. Omni stonewalled it in his preview, which I mistakenly considered authoritative. Aira posted a perfunctory entry when first episode aired and I missed it.
