Aldnoah.Zero was far and away the best show from Summer 2014. I know a lot of viewers disagree with this opinion, but I thoroughly enjoyed all of its episodes.
I didn't watch it myself, but going by other reflections, the above very much reminds me about a scene from coinseasonal Nozaki-kun, where Seo and Waka go to watch a movie. Spoiler: Everyone dies in that movie too. And Yuzuki loved it. Who knew her character was so realistic!
