Bros Before Shows on iM@S

CKS tried to get me into reading episodic reblogging at Tumblr, and succeeded in making me re-discover just how awful Tumblr is. This time it's not the SJW angle, but its web design. Finding anything that scrolled off the front page is an impossible task. But thanks to Liferea's cache, we can examine their view of iM@S 18, the Ritsuko episode.

Pon. I dunno about this post-parapara dancing they always do. Can’t they thrash a little? Throw a fucking mic stand at one of the sweaty glowstick-wavers in the front? Two of them grab a fan, drag him onstage, and force him to lick the third one’s boot? Come on.

Oto. While I love where you’re going with this, they’re idols. I don’t think they could get away with forced bootlicking.

In case it's not obvious, I selected the best of what they had to offer. Most of it, however, is a disdain-filled MS3K wannabe attempt (such as "Thank fucking Christ this wasn’t another Chihaya episode."). But the worst is how anything actually good is left unmentioned. The linked post made me rewatch the 18 again, and it's still as wonderful as it was back then, despite being filler.

The meat of the episode is not actually Ritsuko getting back in shape, but rather her meeting her past. Her first instinct was to hide it, but
